Riponian Rally set for 9 February 2025

The 2025 Riponian Stages Rally will take place on 9 February 2025.

Once again we welcome competitors from the 2025 Fuchs Lubricants Motorsport UK Historic Rally Championship, for which we will be the first round. The event will be run under joint National and Interclub permits, the latter for our regular competitors contesting the usual regional championships.

We are running a slightly different format this year as we were advised in October that the popular Wass complex was not available to rallies, due to extensive engineering work.

For 2025 we have returned to Boltby Forest and extended the mileage in Cropton. Once again the Gale Rigg stage will still include the small section of closed public road that has been used in the last few years, and the rally will offer 44 stage miles from three stages run twice.

The changed route means that the Thirsk Rural Business Centre will be the base of the event throughout the rally weekend with documentation/scrutineering on the Saturday then start service and finish on the Sunday.

Two-wheel drive cars will be first on the road in reverse order of performance with four wheel drive cars running in seeded order behind.

Regulations will be published on the event website from week commencing 2nd December and entries will open on 10th December.

The maximum number of entries for the event is 120 plus 10 reserves, with a minimum of 90 competitors. Entries open on publication of these regulations and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and will be acknowledged via email in order of receipt.

To ensure that championship contenders have the opportunity to enter, the organisers have reserved 30 places for BHRC competitors and 10 places for each of the Regional Championships until 30th December. This gives championship competitors 14 days to get their entries in.

If by 30th December all the reserved places have not been filled, the organisers will allocate these at their discretion, and then an unseeded entry list will be published.
