Regulations for the Riponian Stages rally are now available, with entries set to open on Sunday 14th December 2026.

We are delighted to announce that K T Green Ltd are once again sponsoring the Riponian Stages Rally in 2026. As competitors themselves, they take great pride in supporting Ripon Motor Sport Club with running this historic event on some of Yorkshire's finest stages. Their own legacy mirrors that of the rally, as they have been a family-run business for over 70 years.
Operating from their showroom in Otley, West Yorkshire, they are proud to be the main dealers for Subaru, Isuzu, and Arctic Trucks and also offer a selection of hand-picked sports, specialist, and 4x4 used vehicles. Their busy workshop, bodyshop, and parts department are dedicated to ensuring that every vehicle is well cared for.

For 2026, the Riponian Stages Rally proudly welcomes competitors from the Fuchs Lubricants Motorsport UK Historic Rally Championship, where it opens the season as the first round. The event also becomes the first round of the 2026 Mini Challenge, whose crews will take on the three morning stages. We hope they enjoy their late winter visit to the Yorkshire forests.
Although the Wass complex is unavailable for 2026, the route team has created a rewarding mix of mileage using Boltby, Cropton and Gale Rigg to deliver approximately 44 competitive stage miles through double usage. The event will run under joint National and Interclub permits, supporting both championship registered crews and our regular competitors from the regional championships.

There are a few operational changes for the coming year. Due to commitments at Thirsk Rural Business Centre on Saturday, Scrutineering and Documentation will be hosted by Econ Engineering in Ripon. Rally traffic will not be permitted at the Auction Mart until after 15:00 on Saturday 7 February. Thirsk Rural Business Centre will again provide start, service and finish facilities on Sunday.
Entries open at 18:00 on Sunday 14 December 2025 on a first come, first served basis. The event will accept a maximum of 120 entries plus 10 reserves, with a minimum of 90 competitors. To ensure fair access for championship contenders, places will be reserved until 30 December for 30 BHRC crews, 20 Mini Challenge crews and 10 entries for each of the regional championships. Any reserved places not taken by that date will be allocated at the organisers discretion. An unseeded entry list will then be published.
To make the process clearer for competitors, the regulations are divided into three sections: common regulations for both events, regulations for the National British Historic event, and regulations for the Interclub event.
As a signatory to the Motorsport UK Sustainable Rally Charter, Ripon Motor Sport Club is committed to running events responsibly and with respect for the communities and environments that make them possible. The Club will continue to mitigate the carbon footprint of the event and ensure the rally continues to reflect the values of the sport as it moves forward.
We look forward to receiving your entries and welcoming you to the forests in February.
